Made for winter

The winter packages run from November to March. They all include JEU de boules bar on Paardenveld, a five-minute walk from Utrecht Centraal station, for lunch or for mulled wine (glühwein) drinks. Most activities are indoors, so a cold or wet day hardly matters.

Four packages

Winter on the Canals is half a day with a canal cruise with Rederij Schuttevaer followed by lunch from the menu, for €51 per person. Winter Drinks is an afternoon with jeu de boules and mulled wine drinks, for €51. The Warm Winter Day takes the whole day, with the Dom Tower, lunch from the menu, jeu de boules and mulled wine drinks, for €99.

As a Christmas outing

In December a winter outing is a good way to close the year with your team. Choose Winter Drinks if you want to start after work, or the Warm Winter Day if you can take the whole day. Our days end around six o’clock in the city centre, so anyone who wants to can go out for dinner in town afterwards.

A company outing in winter

You see the price per person in advance, including Dutch VAT, and the invoice is made out to your company. The number of participants can still change up to a week before the date. We book everything with our partners, and on the day itself Ger is your contact person.

Lunch from the menu

Lunch is at JEU de boules bar on Paardenveld: everyone chooses from the menu, with a drink on the side. Dietary requirements can be passed on when you book.

An example: Warm Winter Day, for €99 per person including VAT. You can swap every activity when you plan your day.

  1. 10:00 to 12:00

    Dom Tower climb

    Climb 465 steps with a guide for a view over the city.

    Included: admission, guide. City centre, Domplein.

  2. 12:30 to 13:30

    Lunch from the menu

    Lunch from the menu at JEU de boules bar.

    Included: lunch from the menu, soft drink or coffee. City centre, JEU de boules bar, Paardenveld.

  3. 14:00 to 16:00

    Jeu de boules with bites

    1 hour of boules on indoor courts, with bites.

    Included: court hire, explanation, bites. City centre, JEU de boules bar, Paardenveld.

  4. 16:30 to 18:00

    Mulled wine drinks

    End the day with mulled wine or hot chocolate and drinks.

    Included: mulled wine or hot chocolate, 2 drinks per person, bitterballen. City centre, JEU de boules bar, Paardenveld.

Frequently asked questions

When can we book a winter outing?

The winter packages can be booked from November to March, on Saturdays, at least 14 days in advance. JEU de boules bar, where the lunch, the boules and the drinks take place, only opens at 15:00 on Thursday and Friday.

What does a winter outing in Utrecht cost?

From €51 per person for half a day and €99 for the full Warm Winter Day, VAT included.

Is a Christmas outing in December possible?

Yes. All winter packages are available in December, on Saturdays.

Is there a non-alcoholic option?

Yes. At the mulled wine drinks, everyone can choose between mulled wine and hot chocolate.

Does it go ahead in snow or rain?

Jeu de boules, shuffleboard, lunch and drinks are indoors. Only the canal cruise and the top of the Dom Tower are in the open air; in case of a storm or thunder, please get in touch with us.

How many people can take part?

From 8 people.

What if we are more than 40 people?

Online booking is possible for 8 to 40 people. If your group is larger, please get in touch at info@dagjeutrecht.nl or +31 30 227 14 39.

How quickly will we know it is confirmed?

Within 3 working days our partners confirm everything and you receive a payment link. The day before, you receive all times and addresses.

Can the number of people still change?

Yes, up to 7 days before the date. After that, the number is final.

Can you cater for dietary requirements?

Yes, you can pass on dietary requirements when you book. A vegetarian option is also available for lunch. We cannot arrange custom programmes.
